LRW #196--Christmas in July

Hard to imagine Christmas right now when I just spent the last few days at the beach on Lake Huron, but it's always a good time to start getting Christmas cards ready early . . . and that is what Roseanne has asked us to do this week over at Little Red Wagon

Here's my Christmas card:

I'm thinking I should have added some texture to my tree--perhaps embossed it.

Hope you can get in the Christmas mood and play along!

Thanks 4 your time!

LRW #200 - TAG, you're it!

Regan is asking us to use a TAG (or more, I guess) on our projects this week over at
 Little Red Wagon.

I have two tag ideas for you!
First up is the standard tag use; I added these to my son's birthday party treat bags

My second "tag" project was for this card I whipped up for my son's friend's birthday.  I cut the tag free-hand, and added an eyelet (remember those?!) to make sure my hemp twine didn't rip through my paper.

Hope you can find the time to join us in the challenge.  Check out what the rest of the DT created too!

Thanks 4 your time!

LRW #198 -- Make it Monochromatic

Happy Wednesday!  Jan's challenge this week over at Little Red Wagon . . .

is to make your project MONOCHROMATIC
(that means, stick to ONE colour, but you can play with all of its tones).
I remember by high school art days when I had to paint a monochromatic scale to show the gradation of colour using only one colour hue and white and black paints.  No painting on this card, but I stuck to one colour hue--PINK, and the neutral white.
I know I used this footprint stamp on last week's challenge card; I just couldn't get enough of them!
Ha--guess I should have rotated this photo so you wouldn't have to read upside down! Oops!a

So pick ONE colour and go all MONOCHROMATIC on us;
then link up your project over at Little Red Wagon.
Be sure to check out what the rest of the DT created for some inspiration!

Thanks 4 your time!
