LRW #121 -- Chipboard

Good morning!  Hope you're all ready for a new Little Red Wagon challenge!

This week, Regan has challenged us to use  Chipboard on our project in any way: raw, painted, inked, whatever you like!

I used 2 chipboard embellies--one scalloped circle behind my rosette and the glittered chipboard flourish.

I got to use my new PTI impression plate that I picked up at a craft sale the other day (only $5--bonus)

So dig into your wagon and pull out some chipboard to play with -- come on . . . you know you have some!  Check out the fabulous projects the other Girlfriends have come up with too--links in my sidebar!

Sweet Dreams

Just made this LO yesterday.  I was inspired by the Mosaic challenge Sharlene has over at the 2SF Forum.  Given the photo of my son, I was also inspired by quilts.

I hadn't done any scrapbooking in a weeks--felt great!

LRW #120 -- Twinkle, Twinkle

Wednesday's here again, and that means it's time for another Lil Red Wagon Challenge

This week, Judy has challenged us to use 3 stars on a card

Easy peasy--especially if you have a star punch, like moi!  I strayed from making a baby card--I tend to make too many of those. I've been asked to make cards geared at tweens and teens.  So, this is what I came up with for a male teen:

Just realized that the photo is over-exposed.  I tried editing it; this is the best I could do.
I sold the card already, so I can't even take the photo again.
The rectangular panel is a light aqua colour.

CR84FN #48

Sqeezing in a quick post tonight before snuggling up with my DH to watch a movie tonight--not that exciting for Valentine's, I know, but we did have a fabulous romantic dinner out on the weekend.

Any way, I had the insane idea to actually post a card I created for a challenge. There are so many times I create a card for a challenge, but then never get around to posting by the deadline . . . am I the only one?  Just haven't had the time I've wanted to blog lately.

Here's the inspiration for the current CR84FN challenge:

Here's my card:
I used more of a krafty-grey colour (I do see some kraft in the inspiration photo that I could't ignore).

Night-night--Happy Valentine's Day!

CFC39

The new Casual Friday challenge is to use some paper piecing.  So I paper pieced my balloon on this sweet birthday card I made for my son's friend's birthday.  I had to add some glossy accents to it too!

I'm still working on my Copic colouring skills.  Haven't taken a class yet; just practicing on my own.

I created the sentiment in Word, since the cute scooter stamp came as a single stamp . . .
Then I stamped the inside with a sentiment from Kaiserkraft . . .

I do love the look of paper piecing.  I may just make another one for this challenge.

Happy FRIDAY!! My DH and I are having our Valentine's day date tonight--nice dinner out, then going to watch the new movie The Vow.

Thanks 4 your time!

LRW #119 - Cupid's Arrow

Well, it's my first time to host the challenge at Little Red Wagon (be kind)

The challenge is called "Cupid's Arrow".
I want to see an arrow (or arrows) on your card . . . and they don't have to be Cupid's arrow or Valentine's day cards.

I've made 2 cards. Here's one that is for Valentine's.
I stamped my sentiment (with the arrow) in black ink first, then stamped around it repeatedly in red to create a patterned paper look.  Looking back, I really should've stitched the border with black thread . . . oh well . . . lesson learned.

Now here's a non-Valentine's card with ARROWS as the main image.

So, go ahead and be creative in how you incorporate an arrow (or 2 or 3) on your card.
Be sure to link your project back at LRW!
