EBTKS Challenge #9 [Sketch]

I made 2 cards for this challenge--I often do that because I have a few ideas for whatever challenge it may be. However, I made two this time because I really didn't like the first one I came up with, so I went another direction and made a new one (photo of the first card--my reject--is at the bottom of this post).  I tried an easel card for the first time, and I'm pleased with how it turned out!  The current EBTKS Sketch Challenge really screams SQAURE--so I thought the sqaure easel card worked.

I bought that filigree type stamp at Scrapfest two years ago (way before I started blogging), so I don't recall the company . . . anyway, I stamped it a few times on a strip of white cardstock and then heat embossed it.  I then cut four 1.5" square out of the strip.  The mini sentiment stamp (Studio G) had similar filigree on it, so I thought it worked.  I used the same large filigree stamp with Versamark on the bottom edge of the easel card.
Any-who . . . I think I may make a few of these and just swap out the coloured card base and sentiment.

As for the first card I made and didn't like . . . here it is (got the color combo idea of green and grey from my little boy's cute shirt--but not vibrant enough for me on a card)

Thanks 4 your time!
