Copic Confession & Color Cue Challenge 11

Okay--so I finally gave in and bought myself some Copic markers . . . and now I understand the craze.  They are indeed fun to work with!  I've been playing with the few colours I picked up.  This first card is for Dawn's Color Cue Challenge 11
The card also feature's wPlus9 Designs Pointsettia Patterns stamp set, which I'm having a blast with--so many different backgrounds you can create with it.

A closer look:
The next card is also for the Color Cue challenge (no Copics on it though).  I actually made this one first, but wasn't 100% pleased with it (hence why I tried again with the card above):

The sentiment is from Verve Stamps (just got my first order from them last week!!!).  Look closely at the large Hot Air Balloon's basket--I scored the small piece of kraft cardstock to mimic a weaved basket look.

Since I had the other half of my PTI Aqua Mist card stock, I made up this quick card for my cousin and his wife, who just had a baby boy this week--an excuse to practice with the Copics--like I need one :)

Okay . . . gonna go play some more!!  Night-night!
Thanks 4 your time!

  1. That's some amazing beginning copic skills you've got. Still holding out here. Your cards are all so beautiful.

  2. Stunning creations! Love the embossing on the hot air balloons!!

  3. Oh, my gracious! These are all just so beautiful! What to say about each one?! I LOVE all your Poinsettia Patterns stamping on the first card and your gorgeous embossing on the second take! I don't think that I've ever seen hot air balloons look quite so elegant! Wow! And that little sailboat on your last card is just darling! Thank you so much for playing along with our Color Cue!

  4. Beautiful, love the way you stamped the flower and hot air ballons. Great job.....

  5. I just LOVE ALL of these cards - especially the second one!! The patterned paper makes those balloons just POP!! Great job! Thank you so much for playing along with us at Wplus9 Design!

  6. Your coloring is great, I've only got 2 of them, so I keep looking at other folks coloring jobs with envy.
