Yikes! I'm a tad late (okay-2 days late) on this post. I was away with the family for a few fabulous days at the beach (one on Georgian Bay and one on Lake Huron), and I forgot to schedule this post before we left.
Any way, this week at
Regan has challenged us to use the Pretty Packaging from our scrappy purchases into our creations.
I sort of bent the rules a bit here (Me? Bend the rules? No way!!--LOL).
I used packaging to create new packaging for a set of gift cards I made. Now, what I did was by NO means my idea. I used the plastic box from a Papertrey Ink stamp set, which I have seen their own design team do countless times. I kept it VERY simple--just added a big bow! But it suited the CAS cards in the set inside.
Okay, I hate this next card, but I had to salvage it somehow--my son found by distress ink and got a spot in the card when I wasn't looking, so I tried to create a distressed background. Arghh, was I mad!!
Here's the complete set. I made it for a door prize for a year end event at my school.
SO, before you ditch you packaging, think of how you can used them in a project. It's a great way to recycle!! Be sure to check out the amazing "recycling" the other LRW girlfriends did!
Thanks 4 your time!

Great way to re-use that packaging. And your cards are gorgeous! Like how you salvaged your last card too.
