LRW #139 -- Sentimental You

It's Wednesday--that means it's time for another Little Red Wagon Challenge
It's also the last Wednesday of the school year, which means I'm right in the middle of finishing my report cards . . . so this will be a QUICK POST!!

This week Jan has made the challenge : Sentimental You - use a sentiment as main focus.

So, I repeatedly stamped the WOW sentiment in various colours to create the patterned background, and then stamped the main sentiment "Congratulations" in black to stand out.
Some mounting, stitching and a bit of bling . . . and ta-da!!
So join in on the fun and focus on SENTIMENT(s)
Check out the other LRW gals' creations for some inspiration too!

LRW #138 -- Get Krafty

I'm a bit late getting this post up (sorry) . . . this week at Little Red Wagon . . .

Joanne has challenged us to Get Krafty -- use kraft cardstock.

I use kraft card stock fairly often, and I was about to grab some when I remembered  I had this kraft bag
I got from a very cool local consignment shop I went to last week.

It was begging me to re-purpose it into a crafty project, and I had a last-minute birthday gift to wrap up,
so this is what I did:
I kept it fairly simple (not really crazy about it) but I did get to use up some old stuff from my stash
--which is always good.
I used Versamark to stamp the Birthday sentiment--always looks good on kraft.
I did realize, however, that I'm in need of a new ink pad!
Any way, hope you can "Get Krafty" this week and join us in the challenge.
Be sure to check the fabulous krafty projects the other girlfriends have created!

Thanks 4 your time!

LRW #137--Boys' B-Day Card

Happy Wednesday!!  At Little Red Wagon this week,
Deanna has challenged us to make a Boys' Birthday Card.

For many of us this is indeed a challenge.  For me, perhaps it was the challenge itself,
or the fact that my son Owen has 3 birthday parties for some of his Kindergarten buddies in the span of a week and half that helped me create this "boy" card.
I love those little Dymo-label style alpha stickers!
It's hard to tell in the photo, but the circle/banner centre panel is popped up
with foam adhesive for extra dimenstion.

So, dig into your wagon and see what Boy birthday card you can come up with.
Be sure to check out what the other LRW Girlfriends created,
and leave some love on their blogs too!
Link your creation up to the LRW blog here.
Featured cards are announced next Tuesday evening!

Thanks 4 your time!

LRW #136 -- Playing Card

Okay, I won't bore you with ALL the details of my technical difficulties with posting this card in time for yesterday's new Little Red Wagon challenge.  I will summarize them with a few key terms:
Dead camera battery + DH's Blackberry + downloading problems + frozen Blogger = a late post and a fumin' red-head!!  LOL

So on to the challenge . . . Rosanne has challenged us to use a Playing Card on our project.  Now, many of the DT members went with a traditional playing card.  I sort of thought outside the "deck" if you will, and thought of another "card" that you "play" a game with . . . a Bingo card.  Not sure if I broke the rules here, but given my aforementioned posting dilemmas, this will have to do :)

Please do check out what the other gals have created, and be sure to play along this week.
I'd love to see what kind of PLAYING CARDs you come up with!!

Thanks 4 your time!
