"Beat the Winter Blahs" with Flowers!!

Living in the great White North myself--I jumped on Virginia's "Beat the Winter Blahs" challenge she's got going over on her blog.  Although Southern Ontario has had a very mild winter so far, I'm already anticipating Spring--so her challenge really got me thinking about Spring flowers!  I made 3 cards for the challenge since the flower ideas kept blooming--heehee--pun intended!

Her rules are: "create a card/page/project to cheer some one special up in the winter. However, the creation has to have a WOW factor, meaning that it will have a special feature. It can be a special/new technique, color combo, unique embellishment or an original design...anything your heart desires!"

Card #1--Flowers and Bling

Bazzill Kraft cardstock; ? patterned paper; scrap chocolate and white cardstock; Heidi Grace polka dot border stamp; Versamark Ink; Martha Stewart rub-on sentiment; Cricut Storybook cartridge Marquee cut; Prima flowers; Darice jewels

Card #2--Dawn McVey's Vintage paper button flower technique (get tutorial here)

Recollections cream cardstock; scrap of red strip; TPC Studio Christmas Glamour stamp (diamond shapes) stamped in SU!  Chocolate Chip and Ruby Red and Portafolia aqua blue; Michaels `wishing you joy` stamp; vintage paper (literally ripped out of an old book) cut with Cricut Storybook cartridge scallop shape; button; jute

Card #3--Flower shaped

Card base cut with Cricut Storybook cartridge (2 flowers cut and then stitched together on the left side); American Crafts patterned flower paper; Heidi Grace sentiment in SU! Not so Navy stamped on Bazzill Kraft cardstock; 3D Peel-offs silver outline stickers; white gel pen faux stitching

You can see the shine of the silver petals here:

Pheew--lots of cards, but I just couldn`t stop making them.  Thanks for the challenge Virginia!
