Embellish Magazine--Color Challenge

Some of you may already know that PURPLE is my new favourite colour--fell in love with it this summer when I found that dress I'm wearing in my family photo in the sidebar --> . . . so, I was excited to find Embellish Magazine's new colour challenge, which includes purple, chocolate and kraft. 

      I also finally got my hands on some Bazzill kraft cardstock

 (my local store had been sold out for a while), so I jumped on this challenge and actually made 2 cards!!

     The challenge also requires us to use stripes on our creation--that stumped me for a while, until I remembered to dig out some patterned vellum I've had for years (no clue where I got it either it's been that long!!). So, my stripes are on the card, but they're not a primary feature.

I also finally invested in some Versamark Ink--how did I ever live without it??  I think it's my new favourite product--you'll be seeing it a lot in my future creations ;)  Here's a close up of both cards with supply lists . . .
