1 card--2 challenges

Got a chance to squeeze in this card today--thanks to the card recipe for Day #326 over at 365 Cards
Here are the ingredients:
  • 4.25x5.5 card
  • 4x4 piece of patterned paper
  • 2x2 piece of patterned paper
  • 3 buttons
  • 1 ribbon
  • sentiment
Now--I think I've cheated a little bit ;)  In the bag of buttons I recently purchased at Michaels, there were these cloudy glass beads--so I've used two beads as buttons.  You could techniquely use them for a button on a thin sweater cuff or something.

The card also works for the challenge over at Practical Scrappers which is to use Embossing (including pre-embossed paper).

Any way, here's my card (sorry about the lighting--the 3 cards I photographed right before this were great--I really think my camera is tempermental):

A closer look.  My bow turned out to only have one loop and I sort of liked the look of it:

Supplies:
Paper: Recollections; Core-dinations (sanded embossed paper); Basic Grey Wisteria collection   Stamp: Studio G  Ink: Colorbox Frost White; Distress Ink Walnut stain  Other: Michaels Celebrate It ribbon; foam adhesive; jute; white thread (stitching)

Thanks 4 your time!!

  7. Hmmm - I don't know if that's a cheat with the beads, but I do love how you've incorporated them on this beautiful card!
